One of Robert Morris' most dependable bench options from a season ago will no longer be with the program.
Per Travis Branham of 24/7 Sports, guard Jalen Hawkins will enter the transfer portal following one season with the program.
Hawkins, a native of Utica, New York, did not start any of the Colonials' 34 games in 2019-2020, but averaged a respectable 20.4 minutes/game. He averaged 7.3 points/game, while shooting 33.3% from three-point range and 76.8% from the free-throw line.
Hawkins recorded a season-high 17 points in a December loss at Youngstown State. He also posted 13 points and seven rebounds in an NEC Tournament semifinal victory over Long Island.
When deemed eligible by the NCAA, Hawkins will have two years of playing time remaining, following one season of junior college and one season with the Colonials.
